Life Savers is a brand of hard and soft candy that has been around since 1912. The company was founded by Edward John Noble in Cleveland, Ohio and the original flavors were Pep-O-Mint, Wint-O-Green, Cl-O-ve and Lic-O-Rice. Over the years, Life Savers have become iconic in American culture with their instantly recognizable round shape and their colorful wrappers. Life Savers now offer over 40 different flavors including Sweet Mints, Wild Berries, Citrus Fruits, Gummies and Hard Candy.

Life Savers is owned by the Wrigley Company which bought them from Kraft Foods in 2004. They are still made in the same way as when they were first introduced: real fruit juices are boiled down to make a concentrate which is then mixed with sugar for flavor. This mixture is then pressed into molds to give it the signature round shape before being wrapped up for sale.
