Chex is a brand of breakfast cereals, snacks and mixes made by General Mills and marketed as a healthful alternative to mainstream junk food. It was first introduced in 1937, with the launch of Cheerios. In 1941, Wheat Chex and Rice Chex were added to the line-up, followed by Corn Chex in 1946.

The cereals are made from whole grain wheat or rice that's been toasted and then ground into flour.
