Bigelow Tea is an American tea company founded in 1945 by Ruth C. Bigelow and based in Fairfield, Connecticut. The company is the leader in specialty teas and the number-two player in the US tea market overall. It produces over 50 varieties of flavored, traditional, green, organic, herbal, decaffeinated and wellness teas for retail sale. Bigelow Tea’s products are sold through more than 80,000 stores across North America including grocery stores such as Walmart and Target; natural food stores such as Whole Foods Market; pharmacies like Walgreens; online retailers like Amazon; specialty outlets like Bed Bath & Beyond; department stores such as Macy’s; convenience stores like 7-Eleven; and many others. In addition to its own retail brand of teas, Bigelow Tea also manufactures a range of private label brands for other companies including Costco Wholesale Corporation (Kirkland Signature), Giant Eagle Supermarkets (Market District) and Food Lion Grocery Stores (Nature’s Place).
